Transfer to Fenerbahçe

The turning point in Arda Güler’s career came in 2019. At the time, Arda was playing for the Gençlerbirliği U14 team when he was discovered by Fenerbahçe’s sports director, Serhat Pekmezci. Pekmezci compiled a DVD of Arda’s highlights and presented it to Fenerbahçe president Ali Koç. President Koç then negotiated with Gençlerbirliği president Murat Cavcav, and on February 20, 2019, Arda Güler transferred to Fenerbahçe for a transfer fee of 150,000 Turkish Liras and a percentage of future transfer fees. Shortly after, Arda moved to Istanbul with his family and started playing for Fenerbahçe’s youth team.

Arda Güler made his professional debut for Fenerbahçe on August 19, 2021, in a UEFA Europa League playoff match against HJK Helsinki.
